The Parade Ordinance prohibits the dispensing of anything from a Parade unit. This list includes but is not limited to: candy, gum, novelty items, water balloons, bubbles, election materials and/or business cards. Squirt guns are also prohibited. As the dispensing of anything from a Parade unit is prohibited, failure to comply will result in removal of the unit from the Parade.
The Applicant agrees to abide by all Village and Parade Ordinances, by the Committee rules and regulations, and the terms of this application.
The Applicant further agrees to accept all future modifications in the Application made and communicated by the Committee, or, in the alternative, to withdraw its Application in WRITING.
The Applicant acknowledges that the Committee has the authority to govern the conduct and organization of the Parade, and agrees to abide by all decisions made on the day of the Parade by the Committee or by its agents.
Applicant acknowledges receipt of the “Rules” sheet and accepts it as part of the application. The Applicant agrees that it is responsible for the safety of its unit, property connected therewithin and persons affiliated with the unit. Should the unit or any property connected therewithin be damaged or destroyed, or should affiliated persons be injured, the Applicant agrees to indemnify Lombard Lilac Festival Parade, Inc against and save it harmless from any and all liability for injury or death of persons. The Applicant further agrees to indemnify Lombard Lilac Festival Parade, Inc and save it harmless from any and all liability for injury to or death of persons, and from damage or destruction to property caused by the Applicant.

Please note the Committee selects cars based on their appearance. While every effort is made to select cars that can accommodate more than two people, there may be instances where the car can only accommodate two people. The cars that the Committee selects are often antiques so therefore weather conditions may affect the availability of the cars on Parade day. Please be respectful of these vehicles and abide by the owner’s request.
